Time to Lose

Everytime I've ever tried to lose weight in the past, I've tried to keep it secret. My reason for that is because if I fail, then I don't have to explain to anyone why I'm eating the big piece of chocolate cake. It's time to lose that way of thinking. If you think about it, that's basically setting yourself up for failure before you even start trying. I'm going to do something different this time. I just went online and signed up for Weight Watchers. I've attempted Weight Watchers in the past. I've always been too cheap to pay for it, so I go online and find out the points and try to do it on my own. This time I'm going to go to the meetings on Mondays. I will also track my success on this blog. I figure if I'm weighing in and I'm tracking my results on my blog, I will have even more motivation. I will also be less likely to quit, which is something I always do.

It's time for me to start taking better care of myself. I'm doing this for me and no one else. I know a lot of my fellow moms can relate to my struggle. I don't make time for me. I have lots of mommy guilt. It's time to get over it. I'm a great mom, and I deserve to do something for me. For instance, I always feel guilty for spending money on myself. Well, I'm going to spend some money on me and do the Weight Watchers thing right.

Anyone want to join me? My plan is to post weekly on my progress, struggles and all. It might not be the best time of year to start, with all the yummy holiday treats being available, but maybe it's the perfect time. We shall see...

Congratulations on your little girl and on joining WW. You will do great. I really got serious and lost all my weight (150 lbs) after the birth of my third child. It was the best thing I ever did!

I am SOOO proud of you. I am ready to really start too. I'm down to what I was before Isabella...but not Evan. I'd LOVE to lose 15 pounds. I'd feel so much better about myself. I just need to exercise-if I did, I KNOW I could be where I want to be. I am going to start trying to walk every day.

Hey, good for you! I've got to lose a few pounds, so maybe I'll check in with you. I'm really struggling with exercise, but maybe just eating better will help. Good luck!
